We are looking for an apprentice trained, skilled & versatile industrial electrician to join our expanding business. Electrically biased engineers with strong electrical competency will also be considered.
Roles and responsibilities
- Electrical installation and maintenance within large factory environments
- Electrical testing and inspection
- Installation of cable containment (Tray, ladder, conduit, trunking)
- Factory line moves
- Panel building (previous experience preferred but not essential)
- Fault finding on industrial power and control systems
Note: The position involves some working away from home around the UK.
The candidate must…….
- Have a full drivers licence
- Hold their 17th/18th edition wiring regulation qualification
- Have completed an apprenticeship in electrical installation or maintenance (NVQ3 or equivalent
- Hold inspection and testing qualification (Preferred but not essential)
- Have excellent installation & controls skills
- Have experience in panel building
- Have a pragmatic & logical approach to problems
- Have some mechanical skills
- Basic computer skills for emailing, reading/amending word documents ect….
- Be a team player
- Ensure the safety of yourself and others, working to HSE policies.
- Be confident and polite dealing with our customers
- Able to arrange permits to work & ensure customers site H&S policies are followed.
Maintained good housekeeping in the workshop & onsite
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Negotiable
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends
Experience:
- Industrial Electrical Engineering: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence
- IPAF (Preferred but not essential)
